It is with great sadness that the family of Brian Wesley Clark announces his unexpected passing on September 15, 2018 at the age of 55.
Brian will be lovingly remembered by his wife Linda Graham Clark and his children, Kari Clark Nix and husband Mike, Kaitlin Clark Chattin and husband Tyler; his parents, Jerry and Lois Gryder Clark; sister, Karen Clark Caruso and husband Carlton. Brian will also be fondly remembered and greatly missed by his two grandchildren, Aiden Wesley Nix and Bryce Lynn Nix; and a host of family and friends.
Brian retired from the U.S. Coast Guard after 25 years of distinguished service. He was employed with the NOAA at Charleston, SC at the time of his passing.
The family will receive friends and family at Fairview Presbyterian Church at 111 Fairview Drive NW, Lenoir, NC 28645; on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at 1:30 PM. A memorial service will follow at 3:00 PM.
The interment with military honors will be private.
The family respectfully asks that memorial donations be made to the Fisher House Foundation at 111 Rockville Pike Suite 420, Pikeville MD 20805-5168 or to the Helping Hands Clinic at 810 Harper Avenue, Lenoir, NC 28645.
