Mr. Christopher David Banks Jr., 28, of Rhodhiss, passed away on Friday, May 10, 2019 at Caldwell Hospice & Palliative Care of Hudson, following a period of declining health.
Christopher was born on October 30, 1990 in Caldwell County to Christopher Banks Sr. and Alma Sweet Banks. He was previously employed at Ace Tire Sales in Hickory.
Christopher was preceded in death by his grandfather, Bobby Sweet and grandparents, Billy and Judith Carver.
Surviving in addition to his parents, is his wife Megan Propst Banks of the home, and his two children, Brooklynn and Christopher. Also surviving are four sisters, Miranda Banks, Melissa Propst and husband Kevin, Regina Banks and Angelica Banks, two brothers, Christian Banks and Daniel Mullins, his grandmother, Betty Sweet ,his in-laws, Tim and Sandra Propst, aunt, Mary Bean and husband Jason, aunt, Bernice Allen and husband Bo, and his uncle, Bobby Sweet and wife Michelle.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at 3:30 PM at Sunset Hills Cemetery in Granite Falls, with Pastor Billy Miller officiating.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Service in Valdese.
