Mrs. Alma Jean Aldridge Deal, 70, of Connelly Springs, passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2020, following a period of declining health.

Mrs. Deal was born on April 28, 1950 to the late Mack and Mamie Aldridge in Watauga County. Alma was a member of Living Word Church of Morganton. Alma was known for being a witness for the Lord to many people. She truly carried Gods grace through her, as well as a love for all people.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Deal is preceded in death by her husband, Ulysses Grant Deal; and brothers Parker Aldridge, Gary Aldridge, Jerry Aldridge, and Larry Aldridge.

Survivors include her children Darin Deal, and Shanon Deal as well as his wife Lora; grandchildren Jase Deal, and Keelyn Deal; sisters Reba Page, and Sandy Brown as well as her husband Jim; brothers Bill Aldridge and wife Aleta, Mike Aldridge and wife Vickie, Duck Aldridge and his wife Hazel. The family would also like to honor Linda Hildebran as a special friend to Jean Deal; as well as an abundance of nieces, nephews, and more friends.

A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM on Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at Heritage Funeral Service with Rev. Jody Wells officiating. Mrs. Deal will lie in state at Heritage Funeral Service from 10:00 AM until 11:30 AM. The family will then receive friends and extended family from 12 PM until 12:50 PM at Heritage Funeral Service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Burke Hospice and Palliative Care at 1721 Enon Road, Valdese, NC 28690.
