Mrs. Reba Reece Parise, 87, of Valdese, went to her Heavenly Reward on Tuesday November 6, 2018 after a brief illness.
Mrs. Parise was born June 3, 1931 in Burke County, a daughter of the late Buford T. and Viola Lowman Reece. Reba was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, sister and loyal friend. Her faith in God was sure and steadfast as she followed her Christ. She was a hard worker, and enjoyed working with her flowers and in her yard, which was the envy of all her neighbors.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Parise , son, Neil Parise and infant brother, Don W. Reece.
Surviving are her daughter, Jean Parise Rowe and husband, David of Hickory, grandchildren, Dean Moore and wife Betsy of Marion, Kristie P. Stenstrom and husband Bobby of Maiden, Ginger P. Rink and husband Douglas of Newton, Robert N. Moore of Wilmington, Franklin A. Moore of Asheville and eight great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her siblings, Leonard Reece, Ted Reece and wife Lorene, Charlotte R. Rorie and husband Robert, Larry Reece and wife Betty, Phyllis R. Ross and husband Wayne, Bonnie R. Turnbull; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Reba Reece Parise will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday November 8, 2018 in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Service, Valdese with Jim Holt, Ken Pinney and Wanda Skilbred officiating. Interment will follow in the Burke Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 AM Thursday at Heritage Funeral Service, Valdese.
